Munich. On 6 February the aircraft carrying the Manchester United team home from Belgrade crashes on its third attempt to take off from a slush-covered runway. Eight players die, with three staff and eight journalists. Duncan Edwards is twenty-one. The Munich clock is on the corner of the ground.
